Scott Gural has been named the new head coach at Bowling Green High School. Coached the rival Greenwood Gators for years including a state title runner up finish. Resigned in 2014 to "spend more time with family". Guess family time is over. Lots of Greenwood faithful incredibly upset.

I have heard that their is a ton of tension between Sloan and the Taylor Co kids for leaving. Players are posting on social media saying they aren't going to transfer. It's kind of pitiful.

Word is spreading that David Sloan HS left Taylor County. Any truth to this?

Don't worry. Insure they will go out and steal more talent from Central and Greenwood to level the field.

I've said it all year, the Gatewood can't coach. He hasn't developed anyone at that school. He goes to schools and leeches off the talent there. When it gets down to people saying: "oh if a transfer comes in they will be back on track" you know it's bad. No crap lol if any school in the state was able to get a transfer that was good they also would be better. Play with the players you have and show you can somewhat compete without everyone else's players. They are terrible. I'm calling it now. They will lose in the semi finals of regions.

Yea give credit to Cov Catholic but also everyone needs to start getting that Taylor County has a coach that a) relied on getting everyone else's players and didn't develop his own players and 2) isn't a very good coach. The man goes where the talent is and then he screws the program up. Look at Moore and now Taylor. He won't be back next year. He will go somewhere else where his kid can be a star and that place isn't Taylor County. Can you imagine how horrible this team would be without Quentin?!? Gatewood is basically the equivalent of Lane Kiffin in football. Cocky, ignorant, and a sore loser.

When you are relying on transfers to be able to compete with teams after being rated #1 you have lost control. If he can't win with his own players then he isn't a real coach. Does anyone thinks it's a coincidence that he left his previous job at Moore and the following year they were garbage. He goes where he is going to be successful and doesn't actually build his own team. He relies on transfers. Also the Gaines kid will not be playing for some time because Warren East will not allow that.

Taylor County is garbage. Won't win their own region. Young coach has lost control of his team.

It shouldn't be allowed due to the ability of a high school coach to convince a player to come play for his/her school in an area where their are 4-5 schools and not all hs coaches are coaching youth/travel ball
