  1. I spoke with a member of the coaching staff about an hour ago and , barring any doctors orders from todays visit, they fully expect to have him on the floor Monday. Best of luck to Jacob and the rest of the Raiders. Let's hope Mondays crowd is twice what it was last night, GO RAIDERS!!!:thumb:
  2. Yep, it was his right arm.Our prayers for a speedy recovery.
  3. I totally agree. There's some talented kids in 8th this year, but as an overall group, 8th grade will see a drop off the next 2 years from the past few we've had here. there's a nice group of talent at grades 6,5,and 4 though.
  4. From what I hear, Tyson will definitely see some JV time this year. He is a hoss and I really expect him to do well. Great work ethic.
  5. Like I said , they may not have made the shot, or they not have executed it right, but you still have to present your team the best opportunity available to win a ball game. That was not done, IMO, the last 7.9 seconds.
  6. As a Raider fan, I had one interesting obsevation tonight. With 22 seconds to go in the game, coach Shulz calls a timeout to make sure he gets the look that gives his team the best chance to take the lead. It worked to perfection as they scored AND he also instructed his team to let a few seconds run off the clock and foul because they only had 4 team fouls at that point. After 2 fouls and with McCreary inbounding the ball at half court with 7.9 seconds to go, trailing by 1,coach Jones elects to NOT call a timeout to try to at least get a good shot:confused:Maybe they wouldn't have made the shot or executed it correctly, but why would you not try? Great effort by both clubs tonight, it's just my opinion that we were clearly out coached. Any thoughts?
  7. Watts scores 28 and Phillips adds 19 as the Raiders win on the road.
  8. I remember hearing and reading last year that some people thought coach Jones padded the schedule to try to get to 20 wins. No way he's accused of that this year. That's a really challenging schedule for a very talented team. I hope they stay healthy and meet the challenge. Go Raiders!!
  9. I just couldn't figure out that if it was you, why was he saying that. By the way, I totally agree that, while coach Jones has done a good job this year, I think he tried to milk the clock too early.
  10. SSF, what are you supposed to be so biased about?
  11. Yes, he is Arthur's son. He can handle the ball well and is really developing a nice little jump shot.
  12. Sounds like this was a good one. I'd heard yesterday that it was questionable if Waters would even play due to the flu. We wish her and the other 2 seniors all the best.
  13. That's O.K., we Raider fans can be pretty loud ourselves. I just want to see the kids decide it,either way, not the guys in stripes. It should be a good one!
