  1. McCreary Central plays in the consolation game at 7 p.m. tonight (Sat.), and the championship game is set for 8:30.
  2. Another big win for the Raiders. Sophomore Aaron Watts led everyone with 28 points as the Raiders put this game away early. This 49-point win comes on the heels of a 24-point win over district rival Wayne County.
  3. Impressive win for the Raiders — a real team effort. This group is for real. Watts bounced back from a subpar game at West Jessamine and led everyone with 28 points. Way to go Raiders!
  4. Aaron Watts, McCreary Central. He rushed for 334 yards, scored seven touchdowns and had one interception for the Raiders.
  5. Watts plays for McCreary Central. The paper made a mistake.
  6. An answer to the question about Watts playing defense: YES he does. He had over 80 steals during his 8th grade season and leads the team in steals again this year and is among one of the better rebounders on the team to boot. To follow up on the comments about him not being a gunner, did anyone see all the shots he passed on to make the extra pass against Williamsburg? He still wound up with 34 points in that game.
  7. I agree with Southern SportsFan on this one. McCreary could be really tough in the region, but may face it toughest post season challenge in the district if they have to beat Wayne County at Wayne. That will be the game to watch. With that being said, there has not be a more fun team to watch play this season than McCreary Central, and they certainly know how to win the close ones, and that is what it takes to be successful in post season play.
