If Kidwell is for sure the coach, who will his staff be? And is this 100% offiicial? We he bring the guys from the girls team or select others or keep Dodd's staff? Does anyone have any info for asst's?

I am very proud of the administration to do what is solely best for kids. Tim Fraley will bring stability, a familiar face, and a Greenup connection that none of the other coaches could bring to the table. I wish the Greenup program only the best for the future. Baker, Ailster, and the whole bunch should be commended for getting this one right. :thumb:The green icon is for "Duck". :laugh:

You are a fan of 16th region basketball and that is good by me. A lot of stuff should be resolved by the end of the week.

I think this sums it up very well. Well stated and I agree 100%. Fraley has seen it from all sides and I believe he could rally the troops. But, if Hatcher is available and willing....I would give him the nod. And I hope Duck finds a place to land if Dodd is not chosen. :laugh:

Duck it is obvious who your choice is and I respect that. Alan Hatcher would be a nice change of pace without the baggage. That would be my choice.

Duck....Buy alot of green shirts to fit all of the entourage that could go with Dodd......You, Parsley, Darnell, Big Sandy, etc. I know who you are referring to and wish Sparks would have never given it up. My son was treated very well and given a lot more from the "Sons of Sam" than they will ever know. I wish you and the posse well. Don't let the door at Marvin Meredith gym hit you on the way out.:walk:

We obviously can agree to disagree. I believe that the program has been going down hill since the hiring of Stamper which led to the hiring of Dodd. If not for the Rose Hill transfers Russell probably would have been decent, but not the success they had with those players. Don't get me wrong, Vanhoose, Blair, Robinson, were enrolled and were students.......But, the true people behind the scenes know the true tell of the tape. Big Sandy Rob, Dodd, and the Rose Hill gang shopped around until they could find a place to play for four years and it hurt the existing players. Look at the slew of players who left the program and who could have contributed......It is a shame. I can give you a list if you like, but I don't have enough room. Look at the coaches from the ground up that either have been run off or chose to go other directions. In my opinion and that is it.............I believe the program was at its peak with Sparks and how he ran the program. I am not solely looking at W's and L's, but being positive and building character in young adults. I don't believe and can't be convinced that beating kids down is a quality that is wanted in any program. Again, look at the people, both coaches and players that have left the program in the last 5 and 1/2 years Duck. It is a shame. I do respect your support of Dodd and I to wish the best to the two seniors that departed the team. What a shame. I hope it turns around.

Dodd and the sunshine gang needs to hit the road. Football is successful do to a stable environment for the players. Basketball has struggled since Sparks left, but the higher-ups don't get it. Bring in a familiar face that can reenergize the program and get out of the way. My husband and I have been fans of all the programs, but basketball is very hard to watch due to the turmoil that surrounds it. I don't agree with players leaving, but only the players, parents, and coaches know the true story. So, leave it to them to sort it out.

Ask Duck or one of the other friends (or coaches) on the bench...................I will say it again. Hard to play without recruits and compete. The Russell program is in bad shape and many will begin to jump ship. Parents and student body are ready to jump now. I hate that for the senior bunch of kids. Congats to Raceland on running a nice tourney. I hope to bring my husband down tonight.
