  1. And everyone is upset about the private schools.? Guess its ok when jobs are involved, but you never know these families could come to the area for a job and just stumble upon the highschool program b/c I am sure that jobs would not be offered to lure a kid, right?
  2. Thanks for your approval Sandman, Heyman player of the yr in 7th region, Mullaney, Decker, Chambless all 6th/7th region (not to mention Sullivan from Iroquois). Not exactly like playing on the eastern side of the state. I would like to see a few of the players picked play in the 6th, 7th or 11th for that matter. I have seen every player picked multiple times on the summer circuit and highschool, not going to pick their games apart though. Wish them luck. So who picks the team, as originally asked.?
  3. Who choses the list? Some good players listed to compete, but what about Michael Sparks, Jeff Mullaney, Taylor Stewart, Jordan Smart, Nathan Novosel, Matt Chambless, Adam Decker, Matt Thomas, Dexter Heyman? Not trying to take away from those chosen, this is a very good class.
  4. Same story, different night. When will the coaching staff figure this out? Only a few more games then they can focus on their underclassmen (or underclassman).
  5. He was one of the coaches in the paper, along with others who said they are bound by district living unlike the private schools. If you have ever talked to Morrow you know real quick that he hates the private schools and that they "can recruit" and he can't. Guess he took matters into his own hands, or his staff did, which are always at all the summer events talking to youngsters about coming to their camps and "checking out their school" before they decide to enroll as freshman.
  6. Wow, hold on a minute. I thought private schools were the ones doing the recruiting and getting the "unfair" advantage. I am sure the changing of schools for this young man was based on academics and discipline, which is why most kids choose to go to the privates. And to think Coach Morrow was one of the biggest supporters of private schools getting an "unfair" advantage, he has been doing this for years, guess its only wrong if you get caught. Good thing no other public coaches have taken this path, right?
  7. Desales just beat Madisonville easily, have you seen them? Without Robey or much athleticism. THSROCK, hope you are not part of the ball program at Trinity or you guys will never beat a team with 2 good size guys with your theory and your 2nd paragraph is bogus as well.
  8. You mean what skills? Based on his summer performances he, Euton and Jackson are in the top 100 from Ky from their class.
  9. Good point about Robey, if he had chosen to play for Desales then they would prob be undefeated also, right? How do they win with a 1/3 of the talent Trinity has? They don't have two big guys? At some point, get past Robey not playing and use what you have. Sewell (top 100 soph), Chambless (3 yr starter), Tierney (2 yr starter), Kupper (6'5", 2 yr starter), Little (athletic swingman), Epley (transfer who can shoot the 3). 8 losses. All of a sudden a new offense is incorporated this year and Sewell (who will be an excellent player, but not there yet) touches the ball on every trip down the floor. Kupper gets very little touches in the post, very little screens for shooters or pick & rolls ran and the "one-on-one" offense begins. Typical game: Trinity gets down early (usually scores 8 points in the 1st quarter), battles back, has a terrible 3rd quarter, gets down by 13 in the 4th, hits a few shots in the last 3 minutes to make it respectable and loses by 5,6,7 points consistantly. Maybe I am way offbase, but that is my take.
  10. Go at it? Was a one-sided show, with Hood sharing the ball and not forcing the action. Can't say the same for Sewell. 24 vs 7 in scoring with Sewell taking as many, if not more, shots than Hood. Seems to me that Sewell always takes the majority of shots for Trinity, rarely has double figures and Chambless is the leading scorer at the end of the game.? The game plan never changes though.? Another opinion Trinity fans?
  11. I am not complaining, I am not the one having to endure the madness. But you do make a good point.
  12. To bad there is no rule against practicing at least 3 hrs everyday when there are no ballgames with one day off per week. Get out of school at 2:50 and end at 6pm (at the earliest) seems excessive if you ask me, but who am I?
  13. Anyone know how many days or length in one day are allowed?
  14. But what happens to all of the players who start the program and make it 1 or 2 years? The 2008 class was top 3 with Lex Cath and Scott Co (in fact they beat Scott Co with all their studs) their freshman year, now there are 3 seniors remaining. What happened to last yrs jv team? Only 2 or 3 players remain from that team. Is it football? How come other schools have multi-sport players? There have been at least 15 kids who committed 2 yrs to the basketball program and then quit. Are they playing football and have aspirations to play in college so they don't play their Jr or Sr years? I can tell you this, it has nothing to do with the student body not emphasizing basketball. Do they emphasize soccer, baseball and volleyball b/c those programs have no issues. Any thoughts?
  15. No takers on this question? Surely someone has some insight.
