Final from Somerset. Somerset jumped out to an 11-4 lead but seemed to lose a step after that. The Briar Jumpers were playing without Ryan Dishman who was sick and were playing their 6th game in 9 days and didn't quite have their legs under them. The Colts were on fire from the line where they were 28-31 and also shot 59% from the field. Somerset drops to 11-5 while West Jessamine improves to 10-6.

West Jessamine 80

Somerset 70

West Jessamine 21 18 23 18 80

Somerset 13 14 24 19 70

West Jessamine -- Ziemann 7, Fain 18, Henderson 12, Irgang 4, Peters 20, Jackson 19.

Somerset -- Lange 14, Speaks 3, Gordon 16, Megargle 11, Weddle 11, Cheuvront 13, McWilliams 2.

The score doesn't surprise me since the schedule has been hectic the last nine days. I would have played a game or two the week after Christmas instead of taking 12 days off. Yes, the Weddle kid would have been missing, but, the experience the other players would have got would have been good.
