Bishop Brossart 55 Daviess County 49

Featured Replies

They call Owensboro the "Barbeque Capital of the World." So far it's hospitality has been great for the visiting Lady 'Stangs of Bishop Brossart. Coach Josh Feldmann's team has knocked off both of the tournament hosts so far dropping Owensboro Catholic in overtime last night and then tonight spanking Daviess County 55-49 for their seventh consecutive win to go 9-2 on the season. They will play Henderson County at 4:30 on Thursday afternoon. Henderson has been scoring at a 73 point per game average during a 6-2 season start.

Except for trailing in the first quarter, the Lady 'Stangs kept a balanced attack going to lead most of the game against the Lady Panthers and eventually took a 30-29 halftime lead. Brossart maintained a 30-25 advantage the second half to pull away for the win.

Sophomore Sarah Futscher led the scoring for Brossart with 14 and led in rebounding with 6. She also nailed 2 three points. The 'Stangs held a decided 36-26 edge on the boards in this titanic struggle. The rest of the balanced scoring included Abby Stadtmiller and Morgan Verst with 8 each. Rachel Hartig, Madison Eisenman, Cori Ziegler and Micaela Smith all chipped in with 6 each while Maria Greis accounted for the final point. A total of eight different players scored for the 'Stangs.

On tab tonight..... a trip to the Lazer Tag where it has been reported Coach Feldmann was "going down tonight." At 9-2 with 7 straight wins he will probably be just fine with that.
