Glasgow 15 Bardstown 9

Final.

Kudos to Bardstown in a heck of game. Kudos to unbeaten Glasgow also

Great defensive battle.

Game tied at 3 apiece in the opening minute of the fourth quarter when Glasgow went for it on a fourth and 1 from the Bardstown 5. The Scotties' Patrick Cash went for the sneak and didn't get much of a push, but appeared to get a favorable spot that led to a first down. Jalen Sublett scored from 4 yards out on the next play to go up 9-3 with 10:55 left.

Tigers went three-and-out on their next possession, and the Scotties were able to chew up five minutes of clock, capping the drive with Sublett's second TD with four minutes and change left to go up 15-3.

Bardstown went to the hurry-up, with Anthony Myrks making several big catches, including a 37-yard catch-and-run to get it down to the Glasgow 5, and they punched it in two plays later on a Jordan Brewer keeper with 2:21 left.

Tigers got a high bounce on the onside kick, but the Scotties were able to corral it and eventually burn off the rest of the clock, the key play coming when Cash hit Hunter Bowles for 17 yards on a third-and-8 from midfield with about 1:45 left that forced Bardstown to use the last of its time outs.

The game next week with Christian Academy should be outstanding. These two teams match up well with each other, and I would anticipate another low-scoring game.
