Basketball season for 2011/2012 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Nelson County? Remember, please be constructive.

The Cardinals have a solid core in interior trio John Land, Trey White and Austin Willett they can lean on, but guard play is a question mark, as will be how the team takes to its third coach in as many years.

They're probably going to be on the outside looking in at the region tournament. That could change if they can develop some guard play. But in their district they're a big step behind Bardstown, who is the clear favorite to win the region again, as well as Bethlehem, who returns most everyone from the team that knocked the Cardinals out of the district last year.

They're in the 19th District along with Bardstown, Washington County and Bethlehem.

 

NC's new coach is Bev Hart, most recently of Webster County, but he was a longtime coach at Bethlehem as well.
