Final

Overall a solid effort for the Briar Jumpers their first time out. Somerset had the all 2nd and goal inside the Knights 10 yard line when the clock expired in the first half or it could have been a tie. That being said Lexington Catholic had a pass intercepted in the end zone so they could have had another score as well. Somerset needs to work on their conditioning and they struggled to mount a pass rush at times. Of course, a lot of that had to do with Lexington Catholic's offensive line--they were very big and athletic. The most important thing is it appeared both teams came out of the scrimmage healthy and look like they could have big seasons.

This was a good test for Somerset. I look forward to next week against West Jessamine.
