Last year's team was predominantly sophomores and eighth graders. The girls seem to be stepping into the role of upperclassmen very well from what I've seen so far this spring. Should be a very good year for this team.

Did they win the region last year?

No. Boyd County did.

If Ashland doesn't win the region this year Coach Bradley needs to be fired. He has never won the region as Ashland has not won the region since 1997. This has to be one of the deepest teams he has ever had.

Ashland has imo 7 of the best players in the region. Farris (who will vie for player of the year), Heaberlin (another POY candidate),Gambill (prolific 3 pt. shooter),Cullop (had a great summer, looked real good), Slone (looked great this summer, has a good all around game), Robinson (fantastic young player who could be a Div. 1 player), and Jones (who started at the point last year.) Bradley will have his hands full trying to keep everybody happy. If the girls play team ball and Bradley utilizes the press more, no telling how far this team can go.
