In his first start of the season Michael Hellmann throws a complete seven innings 5 hit 5 run game and earns his first victory. Hellmann who had came in to earn two saves after not getting in because of a broken foot pitched very well today.

CAL (16-7) is a hard hitting team that put some wood on the ball but with some outstanding defense behind Hellmann, CovCath improves their record to 16-2 on the season.

Defensive Star of the Game: Going with Seattle Stein who went deep into the hole on a nice 6-3 play in the 4th and a nice play by Best who after Hellmann slowed the ball down made a nice catch and throw in the 5th.

Offensive Star of the Game: Young Mr Schreiver who went 2/3 and scored two runs, and Seattle Stein who went 2/3 with 2 rbi's and a run scored.

Star of the Game:Going with Micheal Hellmann who had a very good outing.

120 pitches seems like a lot for a kid who hasn't thrown many innings this year.
