After managing just five points in the first quarter, the fifth-ranked Cardinals turned up their defensive heat and turned over host Bryan Station to run away with a 66-41 high school basketball victory in the semifinals of the boys' 42nd District Tournament on Tuesday.

 

Scott County, which has won six of its last seven games, forced the Defenders into 29 turnovers and turned that into nearly as many points (34) as Station had in the game.
