* Boone County 71, Butler 69, final: The No. 6 Lady Rebels (18-3) advance to face No. 2 Mercy (17-3) in Saturday’s 10:30 a.m. semifinal.

 

Sydney Moss hit the game-winning shot and finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead Boone County. Stacie Shrout added 18 points. Aareon Smith and Megan Cureton both scored 13 points to lead Butler. Alexis Stallard and Danielle Lawrence both added 11.

 

Here is Saturday’s schedule:

9 a.m. - No. 1 Manual (17-4) vs. No. 10 Sacred Heart (16-3)

10:30 a.m. - No. 6 Boone County (18-3) vs. No. 2 Mercy (17-3)

8 p.m. - Final

 

* Boone County 71, Butler 69, 1.5 seconds left: Sydney Moss drove to the basket and scored with 1.5 seconds left to give Boone County the lead. Butler has the ball but must go the length of the court.

 

* Boone County 56, Butler 56, 6:49 in fourth: Quick 8-0 run by Butler has tied it, as Cora Moore’s three-pointer made it 56-56 and forced a Boone County timeout.

 

* Boone County 56, Butler 48, end third quarter: Stacie Shrout scored 12 points in the third quarter, nailing a trio of three-pointers, and has 18 points overall to lead Boone County. Aareon Smith has 13 points to lead Butler.

 

* Boone County 30, Butler 29, halftime: Sydney Moss has 14 points and eight rebounds to lead the Lady Rebels. Aareon Smith has nine points and Alexis Stallard seven to lead the Bearettes.

 

* Boone County 14, Butler 14, end first quarter: Butler’s Megan Cureton and Boone County’s Sydney Moss both have six points to lead their teams.
