Valkyries continue their improved team play from Friday night's 27 point game versus Notre Dame with an ugly, defensive win against their archrival Assumption.

 

Monica McGreal led the way with 22 points.

If I was the coach of Assumption, two of the players would have been YANKED because of their behavior towards the end of game. Rivalry or not...you NEVER laugh when you hurt a player!

It is good to know that the Assumption coach chewed the players out during the timeout AND apologized for the behavior to Coach Moir. Granted, the SHA players were no saints either in this rivalry game; however, it is good to know that the coach understands the value of good sportsmanship

I am a SHA fan but don't wear rose colored glasses (for any team.) Yes, I saw the coach chew the players out and apologize to Coach Moir. Kuddos to the coach for those things. I am saying I would have taken it a step further..they would have gone to the bench for a little "timeout."
