Prayers for good news from the doc for the standout Tiger senior, who left tonight's 52-41 loss to Nelson County with a knee injury.

She's a sweet kid with a real joy for the game, but has unfortunately been snake-bit with the injury bug. A torn ACL in her other knee in the final scrimmage of her sophomore season (coming back after leading the team in scoring as a frosh) cost her a year.

Still, she came back strong and relentless, and on the heels of a career-high 37-point outing at Washington County, had a double-double (15/10) going -- breaking the school scoring record in the process. She had tied the game at 29 just seconds before getting hurt with about three minutes to go in the third quarter.

I'm pulling for you to add to those 1,602 points, DK!

I will keep her in my prayers. She is the one player on Bardstown's team that you just say "wow" when you see her play. She is really good! I hope she will hear good news about her knee.

That's horrible. Hopefully she can get back in there & finish out her senior season.

Hopefully its not her ACL. It's a shame that when a young lady tears her ACL, there is a very good chance that the other knee will suffer the same injury. I hope that's not the case with this player. Hopefully, she will be fine.

Last night they were saying that it might be a hyperextension, which would be ideal. I've heard that she was hurting more in the back of her knee, and not the same way as when she hurt the other knee. It happened when she came down awkwardly after being blocked NC's Cierra Drake on a jumper try.

It's killing me to imagine how great that game would have been had she not been hurt. The Tiger squad is a senior bunch, several of them three-year starters. They'll draw on veteran savvy and look for a leader in the interim (they play Frankfort tonight), and hopefully get good news from the docs about their teammate for the long term. She's supposed to go to a specialist Monday.

Good luck at the specialist. Hopefully, it's just a hyperextension.

Really sad. She was an awesome rebounder. Is she a senior?

Yes, Jim's initial post says she is a senior...
