Clay County gets the win over the Redhounds. Neither team shot the ball very well, but Clay Co. jacks up way too many three pointers in my opinion. They must have shot 25 or more before they finally decided to take the ball to the basket midway through the 4th quarter and in the overtime. The Tigers will have to iron out their shot selection if they expect to win the region this year, but it's early and they have a new coach as well. Travis Smith for Corbin on the other hand needs to be more aggressive offensively for the Hounds, plays a little too unselfishly at times.

What a game

Maybe the region is more open than I first thought. I guess we will have to see what Bell Co. can bring to the table.

I'm not familiar with all the teams in the region this year, but if the rest of the region is like the district of Corbin, SL, Whitley and W'burg, there will be at least 6-8 teams that have the possibility of taking the 13th region crown. I think parity is probably the best word to describe the 13th this year.
