The contest tips off at 6 p.m. and admission is $4 at the door.

Clark coach Scott Humphrey said the scrimmage will be treated like a regular season contest.

Jeffersontown is one of the top-rated teams in the state and features center Zach Price, who signed a letter-of-intent with the University of Louisville and Tony Kimbro.

In their last tune-up of the season, the Cardinals will meet Perry County Central at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in a preseason event at Sheldon Clark.

Clark opens the season on Dec. 3 against Christian County, another top-ranked preseason squad at 8 p.m. at Tates Creek High School in Lexington.

Clark’s upcoming schedule features a contest against Memphis White Station in the Kentucky-Tennessee Challenge at Warren Central on Dec. 11 as well as an appearance in the Fayette County Invitational Dec. 18-22.

The Cards also will compete in the Beach Ball Classic Dec. 27-31 in Myrtle Beach. S.C.

“I’ve had people who I really respect who have been around the game for a while, can’t remember a tougher schedule for a Kentucky high school team,” Humphrey said.

“It starts from our very first scrimmage. We put (the schedule) together for a reason. Our kids are mature enough to realize it’s a long season and they’ll be some bumps in this road, but we know we’ll be prepared once we get to March.”

This was some of the teams that Scott Co played last year, they earned their stripes last year. I thought this may have been the toughest high school schedules I have ever seen for a KY team. Looks like Clark is ready to let the country see what they have. I have been to the Beach Ball at least several times its a great atmosphere. Rooms are cheap this time of year. Its a great time. Whats great about that tourney most of the teams in it are on the same level as Jtown. Hope you guys do well. All the games are live also.

I am so ready for ball season to start. Any one else coming to this scrimmage tonight?

Is it varsity only starting at 6, or will they play JV as well?

Just talked to some friends from Winchester..JV starts at 5 then Varsity tip at 6...I just might have to get out of here and head over to GRC to see these two top teams go at it.

Should be a good one, probably a little too early for me.

You know I will be there!!!
