Can you be for extending the tax cuts AND for decreasing debt which leads to us borrowing more money from China/Russia/oil producing countries/Iran?

 

Yes. Cut taxes and cut spending.....kinda like when you lose some of your income...you got to reduce your spending...its simple really.

I heard a quote on the boob tube from Rep Cantor saying that yes we will have to borrow from foreign countries due to less revenue coming in than spending.

 

The question , by the way, wasn't should we cut spending. We know that answer. I am just interested in how we can decrease revenue through tax cuts and not decrease spending , thus, increasing our foreign-owned debt.

If only more people would help to create a more favorable business climate by reducing taxes, regulations, excessive demands by unions and stop the petty lawsuits, then maybe more of those jobs would stay here.

I know but spending parallels with taxes. The whole issue on taxes being raised is because we are being irresponsible with our spending. That is why I said that.

Second, not to your post but to the thread, I find Buffett to be one of the biggest hypocrits on the face of this earth. Nothing, absolutely nothing, is stopping him, Gates or anyone else from donating a large part of his wealth to the govt if he genuinely believes he should be paying more.

 

And now is as good of a time as any to point out that conservatives outpace liberals in charitable giving each and every year in this country. It's generally not even close.
