Quentin Brooks had three TDs rushing and also recovered a key fumble in the second half as BE was driving inside the NC 10. However, he was taken off the field after injuring his shoulder on a tackle, which had NC feeling like the clock couldn't run out fast enough.

 

NC has had some tough breaks with their two top players in seniors Daniel Mudd and Brooks leaving games with injuries. Mudd's knee injury derailed what was looking like a pretty special season for NC. He may come back for next week's opening round game at Scott Co. Hope the news from Brooks' shoulder X-ray is good.
