Jeffersontown (0-0)/North Oldham (1-0) predictions

Featured Replies

3A North Oldham defends their home turf against the 5A Jeffersontown Chargers, who whipped them in Jtown last season.

It will be Jtown's first game of the year.

North whipped Moore last week, 56-18, behind a rushing attack that generated 608 yards (official) on the ground, including 267 (4 TDs) by Zach Evans, a school single-game rushing record.

The 608 rushing yards were also a school single-game rushing record, and one of the tops in KY state history. Austin Crawley also rushed for over 100 yards, and Cody Crawley fell just shy of the century mark, but scored twice...

Who wins? Jtown, who went 7-5 last year and returns several key cogs from that team this season, will be the likely favorite...

OOPS...mod, can we get a poll? Meant to put one out and forgot...

It will certainly give the Mustangs a very credible look at how they stack up. On paper it's a tough match up for North.

If North's defense is able to penetrate the line like they did against Moore it will certainly surprise and delight.

J-Town has some very good skill players and I would not be surprised if this is one of those games where both offenses put up large numbers. That's if North's "O" line can allow their speedy ground game and to keep up with J-Town.

I would think the Vegas odds guy's would have J-Town a 10pt favorite in this one but last weeks Moore rout does allow us Mustang fans reason for positive vibes.
