My heart sunk asI heard about the tragedy last nite. My prayers to all involved.!

As for the game, it seems like the offense was stymied (4 hits I believe) and that the Bombers hit Gerwe hard.

I believe Siemer and Severson were both 1 for 2. Colonels left bases loaded in two innings.

Clyde, the kids knew about the accident before the game started and quite honestly, I wish they would have just canceled it. Far too many of the players knew the young ladies of NDA who were injured in the wreck and many of the players knew the young lady who died very, very well.

Kids at this age think nothing will ever happen to them, much less to their friends and usually nothing ever does happen but.....

If you watched the news last night, you saw all of the upperclassmen go directly to NDA from the game to say a prayer and to be with their friends at NDA.

Would they have won the game last night? I don't know, but in seeing these kids play the number of games I have seen them play, you could tell quite easily their heart and minds were not in this game one bit!
