This was quite a win for Middlesboro. Perhaps Corbin was a little too relaxed or over-confident. Any other details?

 

Corbin was leading I think 3-0 in the 4th inning when the wheels fell off and Middlesboro scored 9 runs, mostly unearned due to Corbin errors. It's going to take Corbin a while to get going due to replacing 6 or 7 starters and a couple of starters just finishing up basketball last week. Give some credit to Middlesboro though, they made the plays and Corbin did not.

This score suprises me.

Rob Ledington is a good coach and will get things going for the Hounds. At the end of the year nobody but Middlesboro will remember this one.

Perhaps you are right. Regardless, the box score said Middlesboro also made 5errors. So the, "Corbin just didn't play well" bit doesn't look like it will fly considering Middlesboro didn't play well either. It looks like Middlesboro can flat out hit this year though.

If you look at the two years that Ledington has been a head coach, his teams start slowly and improve a lot over the course of the year. Bell Co. started out 4-8 and then proceeded to win the region and Whitley Co. started 1-7 last year and finished 14-12.

 

That being said, Corbin is probably not a top 5 team right now, but should be so by the end of the year even though they may have a losing record due to their schedule being

the toughest in the region.
