Final from London. South led 4-1 starting the 5th inning but Somerset tied it up on a 2 run homerun by sophmore Jared Price and pulled away late for the win. The Briar Jumpers struggled in the field with errors leading to most of the Cardinal runs. JP Henderlight picked up the win with 3 innings of scoreless relief. Price had 3 RBIs with a homer and a double Ben Purcell also hit a 2 run homer for the Jumpers. Somerset is now 2-0 on the season.

Interesting score, nice win for the Jumpers.

Somerset should have a nice team this season. They return all but 3 seniors from last season's 12th Region Runner-Up team. Only 1 of which was a full time starter in the field.

South will be healthy in a couple of weeks. Three starters out for them in this game. All three are also pitchers. It may take them a little time to settle in.
