What does Nelson County need to do to improve in 2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Staying healthy was the Cardinals' biggest trouble last year. Numerous key players missed multiple games, leading to their mid-year lull. If they can stay healthy, they are a threat to win the district.

 

After experimenting with the spread, the Cardinals switched back to the option with two games left in the regular season, and it resulted in crisper offensive play (although it could be argued that the reason they had trouble moving the ball at times had more to do with key guys being injured than the offensive system itself) and a road playoff win. They will have to guard against being too predictable on offense, which was a problem at times in recent years.

 

NC took big steps forward on the defensive side of the ball after struggling to stop people before this year, and those steps will need to continue as several key defensive contributors graduate.
