Eastern advance to face Seneca in the KOB semi's.

 

Shelby Co will play Knott Co Central in the the 5th place bracket.

- University of Kentucky assistant coaches Rod Strickland and Orlando Antigua made an appearance at the KOB to watch Shelby County freshman Darryl Hicks.......Hicks only got five shots and finished with four points, four rebounds and three assists in a 64-54 loss to Eastern. Hicks still had to leave a good impression on the coaches. He gave a lot of effort and just has the look of a top-25 prospect.

 

-.....Eastern junior Remy Abell is one player you can likely put on the "will watch and see" list for the Wildcats. He was sensational - especially in the second quarter - in front of the UK folks. Abell took the ball to the basket, hit a trio of three-pointers - two with defenders running at him - and had a few nice dishes in the game. Abell finished with 21 points, six rebounds and three assists. It was a great first impression for Abell to make with the coaches.

 

- Eastern's Lyonell Gaines is such an intriguing prospect. He's a 6-6 junior and is so long and athletic. He hit two three-pointers and had 13 points and 10 rebounds
