Hazard vs Jenkins Canceled

Word is Jenkins has canceled and forfeited game. Anyone confirm?

I really hate that Jenkins is having such a hard time building a program. I believe another team has to be added to that district. Maybe someone else could give some input about adding another team next season.

They just said on WYMT that there school had been cancelled and also the game don't know about a forfeit but I would say that is what is happening.

The only problem with adding Lynn Camp to the district is that District 6 would be left with only four teams: Berea, Campbellsville, Clinton County and Williamsburg. Certainly Campbellsville and Williamsburg are solid, longtime programs, but Berea and Clinton are relatively young squads that have struggled at times to field competitive teams in recent years. Would the KHSAA simply be trading the Jenkins problem in District 7 for a similar problem in District 6?

This is the biggest problem with the six class system. You have so many four-team districts that forfeits can't be punished and therefore programs have the ability to do it with little recourse. At least in a five class system you could guarantee districts with at least five teams, thus requiring qualification for the postseason and punishment for forfeits.

I agree 100%, we need 5 classes and keep the playoff system.:thumb:
