Any news from the scrimmage this morning....

Apparently the scrimmage was stopped by the heat index about 30 minutes in. The teams sat around for quite a while and the heat index still did not drop below the acceptable level. Louisville Central packed up and left for the movies while waiting for their return transportation to show. I was also told Warren Central left as well.

You know, I really didn't think about it until it happened, so I can't claim to have any more foresight than they did, but this was a really, REALLY, dumb idea. Worse, at 10:40 when they had to stop, they actually had people waiting around for a while in the vain hope they would get going again. If it's too hot at 10:40, it'll be too hot for almost the entire rest of the day. Many days the hottest temperature of the day is about 3:00.
