How is Bracken County's Coach Persinger???

Featured Replies

Any updated news on Coach Persinger and how he is getting along since his heart issues?

Wish him nothing, but the best!

Still recovering. This surgery is harder on younger people is my understanding. But has not stopped the new Head Polar Bear from getting to the gym. I am sure this has got to be against a doctor.s best advice. But then I'm sure the doctor does not know the passion of Coach Persinger. Speedy recovery Coach and best of luck in your new position.

Has Coach Persinger gotten the varsity in any camps or scrimmage games this summer so far? If so, how are they showing? I think they were supposed to have scrimmaged Deming, but don't know how that turned out

Bracken Co. is at the Pendleton Co. camp today. I don't know any details but heard that Bracken Co. defeated Deming in the scrimmage.

I talked w/Coach Persinger today as he was at Bracken's first couple of games today at PC's Summer Shootout.

He is obviously very sore and he told me this has been more difficult then he even had imagined. He told me that he has lost around 20 pounds and that he is really not to do much of anything til August. He was not coaching, just sitting and observing.

Overall, for all he has been through he looked pretty good. Best of luck on a continued recovery!
