Jason Frakes, CJ reporter, blogged at courier-journal.com that the ROCKS won their 1st regional title since 2005 over Ballard 1-0. Gives an inning-by-inning recap and notes the many Bruin runners stranded throughout the game.

 

Jon Rueff threw a 4 hitter for the ROCKS, while Brandon Brian scored the only run of the game in the 2nd inning after leading off with a double, moving to second on a fielder's choice and scoring on an error.

I knew you would like that news, RM!! Can't believe a game that started at 6 would be over by 7:30. Especially with the description of Ballard runners being left on base. Must have been a great pitching duel with Curtis McCombs pitching for the Bruins. Congrats to them,as well!:thumb:
