Tanner Perkins and John L Saylor dropped back to back 350+ dingers and broke open a game tied at one in the 7th inning with Wayne County. The Rockets also beat South Laurel 9-7 in the first game of a doubleheader Monday at the Rockets home field. Perkins homer , his 7th of the year came with Dustin Bullock aboard and gave the Rockets a 4-1 cushion. Saylor round tripper , his 6th of the year was a solo shot.

Dustin Bullock ,who leads the team with a .480 batting average was 4 for 4 with 3 walks on the day. Bullock also got the win pitching against South Laurel before being relieved by Justin Bryant in the 7th. Jarrod Smith and Jake Riddle also had big days at the plate with 3 hits each. Riddle also made a couple of excellent plays at second base to keep the score tied at 1 each.

I think these 2 games will give the rockets some added momentum heading into the District tournament and hopefully beyond!!
