Very well played game by both teams. The Jags Jeckyl and Hyde season continues. Coach Beiger switched things up and started all three of his 8th graders and his lone Freshman who was just called up from JV last week. All four did very well.

AJ Collins, 8th grade, started in left field and had a triple to right center and was robbed from extra bases on a deep fly tracked down by the center fielder.

Jared Blank, 8th grade, started at 2nd and was in on all 4 double plays. I have not seen 4 double plays in one game of HS ball or below in a long time.

Tyler Morris, 8th grade, started at catcher and maybe only one or two balls by him all day plus a nice sac bunt early in the game.

Max Kilburn, 9th grade, started at center field and played flawless defense and had a single and RBI.

I did not remember any errors the entire game. One or two throws in the dirt to first were picked up nicely by Ty Ramey. Our ACE Ryan Thompson pitched a complete game. Great win against a very solid team. :thumb:

Congrats to Cooper. I heard they played great defense and Brossart wasn't able to hit the ball out of the infield. On the other hand, Cooper took advantage of a very windy day and kept Brossart's outfielders busy trying to catch hard hit balls that were sailing everywhere.
