You're absolutely right. My words were those of frustration. It's hard to see a team come out and not perform at the level they're capable of regardless of who they are playing. That's not just Lexington Catholic, that is any team, at any level. It is hard though to get yourself pumped up and motivated against obvious inferior teams.

Not quite. As the box score indicates, it was 1-1 going into the eighth. Trinity went deep into their bullpen and got whacked. Until the offense starts scoring some runs, the Rocks are going to take some lumps. :idunno: I will say the team chemistry is much improved over the past couple of years on and off the field.:thumb:

Very good point. That’s one thing that makes PRP very good is that everyone is up for them every game and they have learned to deal with it. Baseball, too, is a little different game than football and basketball. With different pitchers on the mound and the ups and downs of hitting, it’s hard to dominate every game. Take NCAA baseball, last week LSU was Baseball America’s top team and their record was 26-9.

Was it CAL’s current head coach or a former coach? Are you sure it was St. X’s head coach? X also has a scout. Tompkins has a very good baseball mind and does a very good job of knowing other teams. He’s out at fields watching other teams. I think this is a good way to help your team prepare.

I've known John Jefferson since we played at Germantown. The CAL guy is a current Frosh or JV coach. Many Rock backers knew him.
