Harrison County rallied from 1-0, 2-1 and 5-4 deficits to down Conner 11-5 on the Hilltop in the Frank Shoop Classic. Jared Martin started on the hill for the Thorobreds allowing 5 runs in 4+ innings. Freshman Ryan Durbin came on in relief and shut down Conner for the last 3 innings to record the win. Matthew Dye went 4 for 4 with 4 doubles for the Thorobreds. Harrison County improves to 5-2 on the season. Harrison is scheduled to play South Laurel on Friday weather permitting.

I think 4 doubles in a single game ties state record can this be confirmed.Ryan is a sophomore i'm pretty sure.

As for the State Record I am not sure. Durbin is listed on the KHSAA Scorebord site for Harrison County as a Freshman. You can click on roster above the Harrison County schedule and it shows the name, positions and class. He may be a Sophomore, but if so, Coach Whitaker or Coach Earle has it listed wrong.

The 2008 roster list him as freshman, I'm pretty sure he is a sophomore this year but I could be wrong.
