Final from Somerset. Danville jumped out 1-0 in the top of the first. Somerset came back to score 3 in the bottom of the first on a 2 run, 2 out single from Senior DH Aaron Dockery and a wild pitch. The Jumpers added 3 more in the 3rd and one in the 6th. Senior Scott Spears went 6 2/3 while allowing 6 hits, 1 earned run with 10 strikeouts. Freshman catcher Storm Wilson had a 3 run double for Somerset. The Briar Jumpers move on to the sectionals next week at Beechwood.

 

Congrats to Somerset and Coach Grundy on their first 12th Region All A Championship!

Duran Elmore got the start but was only able to get through 2+ innings. He gave up 5 hits, 6 runs 5 earned runs. Sparrow came in and pitched the final 4 innings he gave up 4 hits and an unearned run.
