Montgomery Co. had two errors and neither led to a run. All four of EJ runs were earned. What killed Montgomery Co. was their inability to string together more than a hit or two in the same inning, whereas EJ mananged to get four hits after a leadoff walk in the second to score all four runs. It was cold for both teams, that's just part of playing spring sports in KY.

Runs do not score if the centerfielder did not misplay the ball in the second inning. At that point it is 1-1 and then a three base error (up for interpretation I realize) lets 3 runs score for a 4-1 lead. They might have eventually scored. That is part of the "what ifs".

 

Yes, it was cold for both teams. That is part of the spring game.
