Game 1: Beechwood 5 Whitefield Academy 0

 

Josh Bertke and AJ Smith combined for a no hitter. Josh pitched 5 innings facing only 17 batters, no walks and striking out 9. 2 batters reached on errors. AJ finished the last 2 innings striking out 3.

 

Many of the Tigers had hits to score their 5 runs.

 

Game 2: Beechwood 7 Whitefield Academy 0

Beechwood played Whitefield again on Friday, after a rain out on Friday one of the other teams had to leave.

 

AJ Smith gets the win, with Nate Snyder providing the relief. They combined for only a 4 hitter.

 

Beechwood offense led by Zach Larimore 2-3, Chas Hyde hit safely in his 4th straight game, Josh Bertke hit his second HR of the year.

 

Game 3: Beechwood 3 Paintsville 4

 

Beechwood could only manage 3 runs on 5 hits and left 8 runners on base.

Chas Hyde hit safely in his 5th straight game.

Nate Snyder was 2-2 at the plate.

 

Zach Larimore and Nate Snyder both pitched well, however Paintsville also hit the ball well.
