Final.

Even more important than the score was the fact that the game raised over $2000 for the American Cancer Society, including donations from the 8th Regions Officials Association, personal donations from the two officials that worked the game (Karen Cooper and Tim Hendricks) and money per points scored from local banks.

The game also honored cancer survivors in attendance from both Trimble Co and Owen Co. The Lady Raiders remembered former Lady Raider Coach Paul Ruggeri, former student John Meredith and the memory of assistant coach Dwight Inskeep's mother, Claudia. Both teams remembered former 8th region official Jim Ray and presented his family with a signed basketball in his memory.

Some things are more important than a basketball game. Truly, with cancer, "Winning is the only option."
