West Jessamine: Tyler West and Travis Ward, both are great hitters and West can pitch good

Danville: Mike Evans, excellent hitter

Boyle: Garrick Whittle and Ben Carter, both can hit for power and throw mid to upper 80's

Mercer: Clay Cinnamon (spelling?), should be their ace pitcher

Rockastle: Tanner Perkins, already signed with WKU

West Jess. has a few other good players in Helmburg and Morgan. Danville also has a very good catcher in Embree and a couple of other good Juniors. Somerset has the Spears kid who was 10-1 as a Soph., but didn't get to play last year because of a knee injury I believe. If he comes back from the injury ok he might be the second best pitcher in the region behind Perkins. Boyle also has a good pitcher in Perry and Lincoln Co. has the Wier kid that is a good pitcher.

Bud Morton at West Jessamine is the best player in the 12th - I think

He is good. He saved the game for them in the Regional Semi game with Danville. Made a great over the shoulder catch in the bottom of the 7th with two men on and the score 11-10 West. I do believe there is a couple in the Region that are better though.

Garrard has a few talented players as well. Preston, Wyler, and Ray are all solid. This should be an exciting region this year! Can't wait for the season to start for these kids.

Collegiate Baseball News has three players from the 12th Region on their list of top players from the state of Kentucky. Tanner Perkins-Rockcastle Co., Jeff Embree-Danville, and Matt Yates-Danville.
