Les
Enjoy. Girls Top 5 1. Clay County (10-7, 3-0) What’s the scoop: The Lady Tigers continued to show they’re the best team in the region by knocking off Harlan County on the road. Surprise, surprise: Clay County cruised past the Lady Black Bears and won 64-42, so maybe there is a huge gap between the Lady Tigers and everyone else in the 13th Region. What’s ahead: Clay County will get a test on the road Friday against North Laurel, and will host Conner Saturday. 2. North Laurel (9-3, 3-0) What’s the scoop: This is the highest the Lady Jaguars have ever been rated. Surprise, surprise: North Laurel will get a chance to move up even further if they can get past 49th District rival Clay County at home Friday. What’s ahead: The Lady Jaguars will host Clay County Friday and travel to Middlesboro Tuesday. 3. Harlan County (12-3, 5-1) What’s the scoop: The Lady Black Bears had a chance to make a statement at home against Clay County, but dropped a disappointing 66-42 decision to the Lady Tigers. Surprise, surprise: Harlan County recovered from its loss to Clay County by defeating Lee, Va., 68-58. What’s ahead: The Lady Black Bears will travel to Bell County today and host Harlan Monday. 4. Jackson County (10-2, 5-1) What’s the scoop: The Lady Generals picked up another big win this past week by upending South Laurel, 54-45. Jackson County is 3-0 against 50th District teams and it looks as if the shift of power in the 13th Region has moved from the 50th District to the 49th District. Surprise, surprise: Kourtney Tyra scored a game-high 31 points to lead the Lady Generals past South Laurel. Tyra continues to show that she is a top-notch player. What’s ahead: The Lady Generals will host three straight games. They have a game with Knox Central Friday and will follow that up with a contest against Barbourville Saturday before Breathitt County pays a visit Thursday. 5. Williamsburg (10-5, 8-2) What’s the scoop: Williamsburg continues to surprise. Surprise, surprise: The Lady Yellow Jackets are the highest scoring team in the 13th Region (61 points per game) and ranks first in points allowed per game (41). What’s ahead: Williamsburg will travel to play Middlesboro today in the All A Classic 13th Region Tournament. The Best of the Rest No. 6 South Laurel (10-7, 4-4) What’s the scoop: The Lady Cardinals’ 4-4 record against 13th Region teams is alarming. No. 7 Middlesboro (8-7, 4-2) What’s the scoop: Middlesboro has a good shot at repeating as All A Classic 13th Region champions. No. 8 Corbin (7-8, 3-4) What’s the scoop: The Lady Redhounds are winners of two straight games. No. 9 Whitley County (5-11, 3-6) What’s the scoop: The Lady Colonels just can’t seem to get over the hump. No. 10 Pineville (11-6, 7-4) What’s the scoop: Pineville isn’t a bad team. The Lady Mountain Lions have enough talent to upset a team if they can reach the 13th Region Tournament.
HDE
It looks good except for one spot. How about popcorn on the Harlan-Pineville winner tonight in the All "A" regional?

HDE
The popcorn is on me. I thought I had you. Pineville has improved greatly. Russell Thompson may be the coach of the year in the region at the halfway point.
Les
I watched them play Corbin last week at Corbin and the final score wasn't indicative of how close the game was. They have one girl that always finds a way to score. I like mine with extra butter and salt, please. And yes, Russell has done a great job with Pineville. I was impressed with them.
