Nice win girls.

I thought Ashlond would get this one, good job girls

Very fast paced and furious game contributed to turnovers on both sides. The difference was the unbelieveable shooting of Ashland guard Ali Wilcox and Ashland's inside play of Katelyn Conner (double-double with at least 5 blocks). Ashland seems to be a very unselfish team who gets the ball to whoever has a hot hand. Ashland will be a tough team to defeat this year as they have many players who can lead the team in scoring on any given night. Ashland had over a 20 point lead until they began subbing in the fourth.

 

I give credit to the Russell girls, especially Parsley and Simpson who hardly came out of this very physical game. They fought hard til the end and never gave up. Simpson is definitely a top 5 player in the region. With this type of effort, Russell will get some nice wins this year.
