Boone County 68, Purcell Marian 45

Boone County (3-0) - Bradley 8 5 26, Marschall 2 1 5, Davis 4 1 9, Bowling 2 6 10, Sandlin 3 2 8, Combs 3 2 8, Nash 1 0 2. Totals: 23 17 68.

3-pointers: B 5(Bradley 5); P 2(Schaser, Brown).

Boone's down this year, but showing some heart. They will lose some they should win and may steal one or two they should probably lose. Nell will most definitely have to work some magic to be competitive night-in and night-out.

I was hoping and praying someone wouldn't post this game. Beating PM who has about 200 kids in the school and is now 1-24 in their last 25 games is hardly anything to get excited about. BC's JV team would have been a more formidable foe!

Is Beth Sparrow playing for Boone County this year? I have not heard her name?

That's just mean hurtful. It was actually a pretty good match-up. Sycamore backed out last season due to an oversight on their schedule. BC contacted several schools and no one could take a game on short notice. PM needed the game which required a home-n-home which is typical. The alternative was to not play at all.

Anyway, all I wanted to do was follow the guidelines and post a game score. I wasn't planning to defend the thread or take shots.

Sparrow decided to hang it up. The poor kid has dealt with so many injuries that she no longer felt it was worth it.

A nice win against out of state competition, no matter how many students. Goob job BC

Well, it's about time someone posted about Boone County. They may be small this year and if their PG doesn't quit showing off, they could be really good. Small but really quick. Fookes needs to not let the PG take all the shots, their are 4 more capable players that can shoot!!!

Couldn't agree more...She wasn't allowed to shoot for 3yrs so why start telling her to shoot now.
