The cost of one ton of high sulfur coal is around 30 dollars.
Do you mean that the Obama plan would add 30 dollars to the cost of a ton of high sulfur coal or that the price of a ton of high sulfur coal is currently 30 dollars?

 

I am more familiar with the low sulfur reserves of central Appalachia, which produces the best quality coal in the world. Superior quality is the only reason eastern Kentucky companies have been able to compete with the coal from the Powder River Basin.

Currently that is the price. As far as the PRB that stuff is bad.
