Corbin/Leslie County updates

@ Leslie County

The rain is pouring down in Hyden.

Corbin leads 13-0 early in the first quarter.

Matthew Taylor ran a TD from 4 yards out for Corbin.

Corey Sewell feilded a punt, handed it to Caleb Watkins on the reverse for a big Punt return TD. PAT by Campbell was wide to the left.

Leslie Punting again with 5:01 in the first.

Watkins and Sewell standing on the 50 yard line. Returned by Watkins to the 37 after sliding in the mud. 1st and 10 redhounds.

20 yard TD run for Michael Campbell. 19-0 Corbin

PAT is wide right. Weather playing a big factor in the kicking game according to the Radio. Looks like a lot of teams in the mountains will be lining up for 2 tonight. Doubt you will see much of it in this game though as Coach Jewell tries not to run scores up too awful bad.

Leslie County punts it out of bounds from the shadow of their own goalposts to the 33 yard line. Great field position for the Redhounds.

Freeman to Campbell for 9 yards. 2nd and 1

make that 1st and 10 Corbin.

Watkins runs for about 5 yards but holding is called. 1st and 24 at the 34 for Corbin.

You must not have alot to do tonight if you are providing updates for this Corbin game....lol

The Rain must have made you come in early from the alley.

Otherwise some cold Alamo would be consumed without a doubt.

26-0 Corbin

33 yard pass from Freeman to Watkins

End of 1st Quarter

Campbell put the kickoff out of the endzone.

1st and 10 Leslie

Bubba, I have indeed ran out of Alamo. Bill and Dale drank it all. This rain has sure did us in tonight. Good thing it did start raining because ol Kahn was making his way to the Alley. I'm able to listen to football with my dad Cotton. That Lance Freeman is looking like ol Staubach, I tell ya what.

Jimmy Joe Morgan is sacked by Vorbeck at the 5 yard line along with French. Leslie punting again from the endzone.

Nevermind, ball comes loose and Corbin recovers at the 6. Recovered by French.

6 yard TD run by Watkins. 3rd of the game for Caleb. PAT good.

Corbin 33

I have seen Cotten at a few Redhound basketball games leading the cheers. Nothing like the support of a small White haired man under 5 feet tall. If he can get fired up then everyone should.

Let's hope the Hounds play some young kids tonight and give the regulars some much needed rest. Who knows they may have a 7 mile march at 4:30 in the morning to build some unity.lol

Bubba was having flashbacks from his playing days in Louisiana. These wet Friday nights were very common down in the Bayou. Thank the good Lord, I decide to attend college here in the Bluegrass and fell in love with Sweetness and KFC.

Any idea on how Whitley is doing against Clay. Wburg is ahead by two TD's over Lynn Camp.

Roman Mitchell is in the game now for the Hounds. It's a mixture of starters and reserves for Corbin.

Mitchell to Watkins down to the 20 yard line from about the 47.

Last I heard was Whitley and Clay were tied up at 12 or 14.

TD Michael Campbell from 21 yards out packing people with him according to Dave King. 40-0 Hounds.

I think it is about time to take out the regulars and let the JV and 9th grade see some action. I would hate to see another injury like Fritts suffered at this point in the game.

Maybe Leslie will agree to let the clock roll from here on out.
