NDA vs SHDHS V-Ball

Outstanding atmosphere. Great student sections on both sides.

 

I would agree with a comment made by Coach Kaiser that the atmosphere may have caused her plays to be TOO hyped. I noticed during the warmups that a girl would start jumping around going nuts after she spiked a ball. Warmups, mind you. You simply can't burn that much energy and sustain it throughout the rest of the evening.

 

I'd also caution my girls to not go nuts on every point they score. Excitement is great but it has to be used wisely as it does deplete energy.

 

Impressive athletes on both sides. Burns and Fortner are strong players.

It was a great atmosphere and for a great cause too. Hats off to St Henry, great job hosting the entire event.

Scores were 25-22, 25-16 & 25-19.

ND lost a lot of senior starters from last years State runner up team as well as losing a senior this year to injury earlier in the season. The younger ones look to be maturing into their roles
