Monroe County moves to 4-0 tonight as they get set to start district play next week at home against Metcalfe County.

Monroe County rushes for 246 yards on the ground and the falcons defense holds Barren County to 36 carries for 26 yards and holds Barren's offense to just 69 total yards. Great job falcon defense!!!!!

Wow...:thumb:

I really enjoyed this game, I thought Coach Petett and the other coaches did a great job tonight. The play calling was good and for the most part kept Barren on their heels, there was a few missed opportunities but all in all a good game by the Falcons in what is normally a very close game...

Interesting fact... All three of the Falcons TD's came in the air, that shows the Falcons aren’t one dimensional. Barren really tried to shut the Falcons down on the edges so we pounded between the tackles and toyed with the forward pass, good job Roe...

The falcons are for real!!!

Great game, there was a couple simple mistakes that could have turned into more scoring possiblities but all in all the falcons moved the ball well. I would like to see them open the air assult more with quick hitting passes. The short passes were there all night because barren was trying to shut down the run game.. They played well off the receivers to stop the run...great job falcons, really good diversity in the offense scheme!!!

Nice quote from Barren Co. coach Jeff Richey

“All the talk about, well they were 2-9 last year and they haven’t beaten anybody, well I’m going to tell you what - they’ve got a very good ball club and everybody that is ready to crown Green County (district) champions better wait until this team plays, because they’re pretty dang good,” Richey said.
