Bardstown/Marion Co. Scrimmage

Featured Replies

A lot of good athletes on the field in this one. Also, lots of fumbles. Marion Co. got a short field 3 times due to Bardstown fumbles and got scores. I think they ended up winning 28-14. They had a player, #14, who caught 2 TD passes and intercepted a pass a returned for a TD. He was outstanding. Marion's QB and line were also solid and I think they are going to be a quality 4A team.

The Tigers had some good, some bad, and a lot of ugly. On the bright side, I think this Tiger team is potentially every bit as fast as Tiger teams of yore. Some newcomers with a lot of talent (Ricky Harper?). A couple of solid wideouts, particularly Hickman. And, surprisingly, a decent passing game. On the bad side, fumbles and a lot of missed assignment. On ugly, the line play on both sides. Boys, you've got to get your heads up and look for the ball. You can't play patty-cake and win.

Bardstown is a big lump of clay right now and it'll be interesting to see how the coaching staff decides to mold it. Could become art, could become a kindergarten ashtray, who knows?
