Does anybody have any thoughts on this scrimmage?

I just saw the last of the 2nd quarter and all of the third. LexCath outscored the Indians 10-7 in the second and 7-0 in the third. LexCath controlled the ball most of the time I was there. MC seemed to have some quick skill players: number seven took a short pass to the house for their only score. They also had a long running play for about forty yards but fumbled it back to LexCath. LexCath seemed to have the size and depth but Central had the speed. I think Central will win about eight games and get to the third round of the playoffs.

Does Lex Cath seem to have a good as a team as they had last year? Or are they missing a few key links to some positions. I know that they lost Winston Guy who was a key point to their state title run.

Guy will be missed. I think LexCath looked a little better than this time last year. Not as many mistakes and penalties as in last year's first scrimmage. The passing game was off but I don't think it was that consistent last year early either.

I don't see many standouts yet. the running game and line play looked very good.
