I live 20 miles from this school and have two kids that graduated from here in 1998 and 2001. The Taylor kid at 6'4" and a junior will develop into a nice college prospect. They had an outstanding freshman team last year that beat Lexington Catholic. Young 5'9" sophomore to be point guard Austin Sagraves will develop into a nice player along with a couple of other sophomores. Seniors Dedman, Patterson, and McCloud will provide experience and leadership. Mercer played well at the KBA this summer beating Montgomery County, Lafayette, and Sayre. Lost to Clay County and Scott County by about 20 points. Should be in the top 6 of a weak 12th region and have a shot at making the Regional SF. Lincoln and McCreary again have to be the favorites in the 12th region. Mercer has a big test on opening night when they travel to Stearns and take on McCreary on Tuesday December 2, 2008.

They still have the same coach? And they havent been out of the district in last two years despite having what some calls the best talent in the region during that time
