Meade Counties Hamilton Field Storm Repairs

Featured Replies

The Meade County Board of Education approved repairs and replacement for a section of damaged bleachers and press box which was damaged during a tornado in February. Board members approved a bid of $461,350 from E&D Specialty Stands Incorporated.

The new bleachers will include an additional 972 seats which allow Hamilton Field to accommodate approximately 2,200 to 2,300 people. During the construction, a redesigned replacement press box will be included in the project. The new press box will be built in two levels and feature 5 sections in a 10 by 48 foot area.

The design has the in house pa and score keepers seated in the center with adjoining sections to accommodate local and visiting media and each end of the structure for the coaching staffs. The second level will be reserved for film and video purposes with no seating.

Construction is anticipated to be completed near the beginning of the football season.

Ya'll need to build steps around back of that thing.

Trekking through the bleachers to get to the pressbox is just as treacherous as sitting up at the top on a very windy night.

Hey Airforce or any other Meade County folk, how's the stadium repairs going?
